wednesday i woke up with a pulled muscle in my neck
which slowed our plans down
but eventually we made it to the natural history museum
and got to do the really cool butterfly jungle
then we had a yummy frozen yoghurt at a place called snog
(www.ifancyasnog.com)
and came home for dinner
thursday we got up and went to buckingham palace to see the changing of the guards
but mostly we just saw the procession
then we walked around st james park before grabbing the tube
after that we went up to the ever so posh kings rd
where we lunched at valerie's patisserie
and then meandered our way down the road popping into various stores along the way
and of course, we stopped at cath kidston, so mom could get a few gifts
then we took the train down to new haw to visit sarah and family for a few hours
and finally met james back in streatham for dinner
where we ate at a steak place that has a giant cow statue in front of it
this morning we got up bright and early so everyone had time to get ready
and all took the train to clapham
where james headed for work and mom & i went to the airport
it was a bit of a rush as i had an appointment i couldnt miss at 9.30
so i dropped mum off at the delta counter and headed on my way
i didnt know until about an hour ago
that her flight hadnt even left the ground
so it finally took off at 1.31
as opposed to its originally scheduled 10.45 departure time
i will be interested in seeing what the hold up was!
