sunday adventure at stanley beach

these are my favourite pictures from today

we took the bus from central to stanley plaza 

then walked over to the beach where i sat taking shots of the surf

and james poked around in shallow pools searching for creatures

afterwards we checked out tin hau temple (one of many)

and then went looking for food

the whole area was full of expats and american style restaurants

so we ended up at a place that did fish and chips

afterwards we followed the walking trail into stanley ma hang park

which took us to another little bay

then we decided we would walk to repulse bay

not the greatest idea

we got over half way there when the pavement ran out

we managed to hop and scurry along a bit further

playing chicken with traffic

then realised we were never going to be able to get there

even though it was only about another 1/2 mile away

there was just too much traffic and not enough shoulder to walk on

so we turned back and went to the nearest bus stop

and caught the bus the five minute ride to repulse bay

where we then enjoyed a bit more time walking in the sand

soaking up the sun

and relaxing
